That's our motto for the past few weeks, and it obviously reflects in my blogging. I can't believe I haven't posted in a few weeks but Jarrett and I have been busy, busy, busy. Last weekend, Jarrett's grandparents were so kind to let us have a bit of their timeshare up in Lake Tahoe. Since Jarrett and I had originally planned on getting married on January 5th, we were going to spend a week in Tahoe for our honeymoon. Well, obviously plans changed but Jarrett's grandparents still offered to let us use the cabin for a few days. We drove up late on the 11th and settled into the cute little cabin with fireplace and all. The next morning, Jarrett and I awoke to lots of snow falling. We were like little kids on Christmas morning because the weather report hadn't indicated any snow. We quickly put our boots on and ran outside and down towards the lake (our cabin was right next to the lake.) We had decided early on that we didn't want to go snowboarding and that we just wanted to hang out and do other things that we normally don't get to do because we are snowboarding. We found the cutest little cafe and enjoyed a very tasty breakfast and then hopped in the car and drove about 10 miles to Squaw Valley. We rode up the gondola (we love when there are military discounts...Jarrett got to go up for free!) and once on top of the mountain, we went ice skating at the Olympic rink. After ice skating, we headed back to the cabin, got all snuggly, and watched Little Miss Sunshine, which Jarrett and I hadn't seen yet...it was a great movie! We had such a blast in Tahoe and thanks again Grandpa Ron and Grandma Pat for allowing us to go!
Other than Tahoe, Jarrett and I just returned a few days ago from SLO. We drove down late last Tuesday and left Sunday afternoon. I had the best time catching up with some of my wonderful friends. I was able to have breakfast with Lindsey Iunker, coffee with Katie my wonderful Bible study leader, go shopping with wonderful Heatherdoo, and have lunch with my roommate from last year Holly to name a few. I was also able to spend some much needed time with my wonderful family...it's so hard living away from them! On Friday, Jarrett and I were able to go watch Jarrett's brother, Aaron, perform with his band in Grover Beach. He did a great job and we were so excited to finally make it to one of his shows!
And now that we're home, real life has begun...at least for me. I started my new job at Hollister yesterday and then started school today. Work was fun, and I've already met some cool people. School is good too. I am taking calculus, chemistry, and English...let's just hope I'm not diving in too quickly, remember I haven't been in school since June. Geez...it doesn't seem that long. But as much as I dread nightly readings, multiple math problems, and English essays, I do have to say that I am sooo happy to be back in school!
Well American Idol is on so that means it's time for me to wrap this up but I will leave you with a few pictures from our trip to Tahoe.

Hey Kate!
So, did they let Jarrett get out? Wasn't there some rule or something that didn't allow him to leave within some amount miles? That sounds fun, going to Tahoe! How cool. I love the snow. I told Jason I am praying that it snows in SLO. Funny huh. I guess it snowed outside of Atascadero...:-)
